Natural Remedies Diarrhea Dogs
A natural or homeopathic way to treat bacterial infections, for example, Campylobacter?
My two dogs seem to have taken some kind of infection bacteria. We suspect Campylobacter as they have had before, but are awaiting a fecal analysis. They're sleeping a lot, but fortunately still eating and drinking quite well, but if they have diarrhea (no vomiting so far, although the last time he came later.) The hatred of antibiotics for the same reasons I hate myself having (make you feel rough and wreak havoc with your intestinal flora or good bacteria)! They have a probiotic supplement, but still well, I would give them a chance to recover naturally with minimal intervention. Can anyone recommend a homeopathic or natural remedy for this type of infection? One of them has the honey in their diet and for their anti-inflammatory, so hopefully I can help. Thanks for any ideas – my poor baby are not themselves!
If you do nothing but help with diarrhea? Like a suspension of kaolin pectin, soft diet, etc? Even with only diarrhea, they can become dehydrated and feel horrible. And if it's an infection, antibiotics are the way to address the problem. I do not like taking antibiotics either, but if by Campylobacter, will probably be the best way to treat it. But you can try to use the other I said to calm the gut as well.
